Yep, you saw it, swimming is like breathing for him. That’s how he loves swimming and wants to spread the love and excitement in swimming.
Coach Sandi only rival is himself he also teaches all the students the same. He always challenge himself to beat his previous best. His love for swimming is undeniably grows into multiple podium, open swimming competition and pool swimming in past/present and hopefully the future too.
Traveling around the world, he has met and made a lot of friends and shares and gains a lot of experience in swimming, running and cycling. From USA to Malaysia, Coach Sandi knows the best technique and is exciting to share his knowledge with others for the love of swimming.

1978 – 1990 Multiple wins in State and Inter State and National Swimming Championships
Held and shattered many records for State and National Championship. First Swimmer to hold 50m Sprint and 1500m Record for State and National. Captain of Tamilnadu (INDIA) State Swimming Team for 7 years. Featured in Sports Star Magazine in 89-90 as the only swimmer to have won all gold in Individual events same year placed first in all state meet events and declared the fastest swimmer in state (50m sprint) and held the record for the long distance (1500m).
1994 – 1996 Won all inter club Rowing trophies at the “Madras Boat Club” including rolling team trophies.
1997 – 1999 Guinness Record for the longest distance and time
Trained for endurance event and completed it on the 25th-26th September 1999. It is a Limca and Guinness Record for the longest distance and time swam in a 50m (Olympic size) pool. Completed a distance of 91.9 km in 30 hrs nonstop swimming. Same year came in 2nd in Open National event for 1500m free style.
2000 – 2004: Trained and competed in World Marathon Swim events and multi sports in USA/Canada.
Trained and competed in World Marathon Swim events and multisport events which include triathlon and ironman in USA/Canada. Invited and won podium in Maui Bay 5 mile Swim in Maui Hawaii. Ranked in the top 6 in marathon world championship swim events till the end of 2004 in age group. He also did a triathlon event with Mr.Bipin who is from Helen Killer National Centre who id deaf/mute and blind. Mr. Sandi and Mr. Bipin trained together for 6 months and did the triathlon event in New York.
2015 – 2020: Over 40 runs marathons from 5km to full marathons. Penang bridge and Kuching to name a few popular ones in Malaysia.
Did aquathalon , duathlon, triathlon and iron man events like Trifactor and 113 in Malaysia/Singapore. Worked as assistant head coach under Dean Ratcliffe with PTA.
2022- Dorry Event 2022
Dorry Event 2022 is a swimming for fun event in collaboration with multiple academy and sponsors. Check out Dorry page for more info Dorry 2022.
2022- 2nd place Kapas Marang Swim 6.5 km
Won 2nd place and met Larosso, who’s participated in many world championships in Kapas Marang Challange.
2022 – 3rd Place in Perhentian Challenge for 16 km Male Duo
Won 3rd place in male’s duo and overall 6th place in 18+ category in Kapas Marang Challange. Also met Big Sergio from Italy who also participates in many world championship.
